Description
English: Cutaway diagram of a loaded 16-inch gun on an Iowa-class battleship. Six powder bags sit behind the projectile in the gun's breech. The ram arm which shoved the bags into the breech is still extended. The spanning tray and cradle are also still extended. The lever above the cradle is used by the rammerman to control the ram.
