A photographic postcard showing a view of the 11th Company Headquarters building on the U.S. Barracks base in Columbus, Ohio. The base was later renamed Fort Hayes. Fort Hayes was established by Congress in 1862 as the Columbus Arsenal. It was later named Fort Hayes in honor of President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1922. It is currently the site of the Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center. |
