Summary[edit]

Description
English: German prisoners of war are marched into Liberated Venlo, Holland, by guards from the task force of the 35th Infantry Division, U.S. Ninth Army. The enemy medic, carrying a Red Cross flag, marched ahead of other prisoners, and one of them is carried on a litter by comrades. The task force traveled 28 kilometers in eight hours, through unmanned Siegfried Line defenses before reaching Venlo. Consisting of infantry, artillery, engineers, tanks, and tank destroyers, the task force only had 5 men wounded during the advance and all vehicles arrived at the destination without mishap. They captured 130 Germans, four enemy machine guns, and a bazooka.
