11+01 - Tupolev TU-154M - Luftwaffe

(in ex Interflug - colours)

in October 1993


c/n 89A-799 - built in 1989 for the NVA (Nationale Volksarmee =Air Force of the DDR) in Interflug colours as DDR-SFA used as VIP-aircraft -

taken over by the Luftwaffe 1990 and operated until 2000 -

final operator was Eram Air (Iran) - stored in 2008


Germany planned to use the 2 Tupolev TU-154's acquired from the DDR for "Open Skys" - missions. The sister aircraft 11+02 had already the full modifications when the aircraft was lost in a mid-air collision 14.09.1997. As a result the program was cancelled and the aircraft sold.
