HAPPY BIRTHDAY ITALY! On March 17th in Italy, we will celebrate 150 years of Italian unification. The unification was a slow process,discussed and questionable (maybe even unfinished), however, Italy has been done! Hurrah! Origamists, Italian or otherwise, who want to celebrate can do so by folding an origami with the colors of the flag. I discovered that we are too quick to say green, white and red. In fact, the institutional flag bears well precise colors, below the colorimetric coordinates of the official flag. █ █ (R: 0 G: 146 B: 70) █ █ (R: 255 G: 255 B: 255) █ █ (R: 203 G: 43 B: 55) In tribute to Italy I had fun drawing some tricolor patterns for origami that are compliant with colorimetric rules. Celebrate with us, by folding, Italy's birthday! Patterns were designed using opensource program Inkscape Enjoy the complete set |
