Name: Kibbutz Hatzeri -Security House
Description: This structure is the first permanent structure built at a point close to its establishment. Its construction was completed in March 1947. It is made of reinforced concrete. The thickness of the walls is 20 cm.

שם: קיבוץ חצרים - בית הבטחון
תיאור: מבנה זה הוא מבנה הקבע הראשון שנבנה בנקודה סמוך להקמתה. בנייתו הושלמה במרץ 1947. הוא עשוי בטון משוריין. עובי הקירות 20 ס״מ. בשעתו הותקנו בו חרכי ירי. נועד לשמש מעוז התגוננות אחרון במקרה של התקפה עוינת. בתוכו הוסתרה תחנת האלחוט המחתרתית.
הערות: הקיבוץ הוקם במוצאי יום כיפור בשנת 1946 על אדמות קלטה כחלק מ־11 הנקודות, על ידי הכשרת הצופים ג'.במלחמת העצמאות היה הקבוץ נצור והקשר איתו נשמר באמצעות אלחוט ומטוס אוסטר אוטוקרט שהיה מביא אספקה. עמדה אחת מאותה תקופה עדיין נמצאת בו. בתחילת שנות החמישים נקלע הקיבוץ למשבר, בשל האדמות עליו ישב אשר נתגלו כמלוחות ולא מתאימות לחקלאות. לאחר דיונים רבים שכללו ניסיונות שכנוע של לוי אשכול שהגיע לקיבוץ, הוחלט להישאר במקום ולשטוף את האדמות. הפרשה ידועה בכינויה "משבר המלח".
