English: Name: Kibbutz Erez Description: Kibbutz Erez - the beginning of the road עברית: שם: קיבוץ ארז תיאור: קיבוץ ארז - תחילת הדרך הערות: קיבוץ אֶרֶז נמצא בצפון מערב הנגב במועצה אזורית שער הנגב. הקיבוץ עלה על הקרקע ב 1950 במקום בו היה עד שנת 1948 הכפר הערבי דימרה. מייסדיו היו מיוצאי הגדוד השלישי בחטיבת יפתח של הפלמ"ח שכמה מהם נלחמו במבצע יואב. המעבר המרכזי בין רצועת עזה וישראל נמצא בסמוך. ניקרא מעבר ארז. במרכז הקיבוץ רצפת פסיפס של בית עשירים שנבנה במאה החמישית לספירה. ב-7 באוקטובר 2023, חברי כיתת הכוננות של הקיבוץ זיהו בשלב מוקדם את הגעת מחבלי חמאס מעזה וניהלו עמם קרב שבמהלכו הצליחו לבלום את חדירת המחבלים. נפגעו מספר חברים. מיקום: קיבוץ ארז מעלה הצילום: ישראל פרקר מקור הצילום: ארכיון קיבוץ ארז - תמונות צבועות קובץ מקורי: ארז 1-Color.jpg |
