English: Staff Sgt. David Conner, left, helps his gunner Spc. Brandon Seaburg prepare his M2 machine gun at the border crossing of Kuwait and Iraq on Oct. 27. Conner, from Apple Valley, Minn., is on his second deployment. “It’s about weathering the hazard. It’s about applying all the hard won lessons from my last deployment to my new team.” In their first 90 days, the 1st Squadron, 94th Cavalry (the "Iron Rangers"), 1st Brigade, 34th Infantry Division (the "Red Bulls") provided nearly 700,000 miles of convoy security missions for the draw down from Iraq. The Iron Rangers average three times as many missions as their predecessors in support of Operation New Dawn.
