Vrouw op fiets met kindje in rugzak, 29 juni 1953 Foto Ben van Meerendonk / AHF, collectie IISG, Amsterdam

Foto gepubliceerd in Trouw, 30 juni 1953, p.1 met bijschrift:

"Zoals de negerinnen met haar kroost uit wandelen gaan, zo fietst mevrouw De Vries uit Amsterdam met haar kindje op de rug. Eerst heeft zij toestemming gevraagd aan haar huisarts en die had geen bezwaar. Wel vertelde zij, dat ze door de politie bekeurd is. Die wil op deze manier een uitspraak van de rechter krijgen of het vervoeren van een kind op deze manier (en terwijl men fietst) wel mag. Mevr. De Vries en haar dochtertje, dat zich in de rugzak best op haar gemak schijnt te voelen, zijn benieuwd naar de uitspraak."
