Description
English: St Ann's Well in The Crescent in the spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire.

When he had filled a bottle here, our son asked "how do I turn it off?". It was pointed out to him that the water had been running continuously since the end of the last Ice Age at least and that there was no need to turn it off.

Most of the water from this spring is bottled and sold commercially but there may well be an ancient endowment that requires it to be available free of charge. Certainly there is a continuous stream of people filling their bottles here - another pic.
