Summary[edit]

Description
English: The original Dayton's department store in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dayton's, later even bigger because of its Target stores, purchased Marshall Field's and the store was rebranded to what was thought to be a more national name. In 2005, Dayton's (now Target Corporation) sold off its departments stores to Macy's, and all Marshall Field's were rebranded as Macy's. This building was featured in the The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and a bronze statue of Mary tossing her hat in the air (a famous image from the opening credits) stands in the foreground at the corner where it occurred

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 100004147.
