Description

Approximately 1.2 km from the main SBB station at Neuchâtel is Place Pury located on the rather picturesque waterfront of Lac de Neuchâtel. From here is a light railway running parallel with the lake through to Boudry. Operated by Transports Publiques Neuchâtelois (or transN) who also run two other metre gauge lines in the region plus buses, trolleybuses and a funicular railway in Neuchâtel. This was formerly known as Tramways de Neuchâtel (TN) then later became Transports Publiques du Littorail Neuchâtelois (TPLN).
