Konstruktion[edit]
Konstruktionsbeschreibung[edit]
Construction[edit]
Construction description[edit]
It starts with the (Unit_circle) with radius and the drawing of the diameter . Next, the central axis perpendicular to the diameter is plotted. This is followed by an arc of radius around and , respectively; the intersections are and . An undrawn perpendular bisector of distance bisects the arc in . A parallel to from gives the line segment . The point is determined with the help of an undrawn line segment bisector of the distance .
Continue by transferring the distance from , yielding the intersection point . A parallel to from gives the line segment . The point is determined with the help of an undrawn perpendular bisector of the distance of the distance . The tie line of the point with intersects the circular arc in . The construction of the square with side length and the diagonal follow. Finally, the parallel to yields the cosine of the angle equal to the line segment whose length is nearly equal to the setpoint .
Result[edit]
A maximum of 15 rounded decimal places are displayed in GeoGebra.
Example to illustrate the absolute error[edit]
- With a cube 1 with the edge length a1 = 1 billion km (the light would need for this distance approx. 56 min.) the constructed edge length would be a2 of doubled cube 2 no exact absolute error can be evaluated..
- It is therefore reasonable to assume that the absolute error is < 1 mm.
- Given a cube 1 with edge length a1 = 10 km the error of the volume of doubled cube 2 would probably be < 0,7 dm3 or < 1 liter.
