| Description |
English: The first in a series of photographs designed to expand the number of images of the Country Life Press Long Island Rail Road station in Garden City, New York. The sign mounted on the lamppost tells commuters that a staircase leads to Saint James Street (one of two staircases to do so), then claims buses are available on Washington Street, which some people would find to be a long walk from here. An FRA standard sign is mounted on the shelter telling engineers that the station is capable of handling four-to-six car multiple units. An M7 train departing for Hempstead Long Island Rail Road station can be seen on the right. |
