Notes: Title devised by Library staff. The tintype is housed in its original "Potters Patent" die-cut paper frame, patented by Ray W. Potter of New York in 1865. DLC "Potters Patent March 7 1865"--embossed on front of paper frame. DLC Photograph is housed in an album. Album page has decorative gold borders framing the image.
