English: As a 'Ford man' with special interest on New York, Taxicabs and Crown Victorias, I've made a promise to myself to go back to NYC to one last ride on a CrownVic yellow cab once their time comes.
I won't be able to fulfill this promise, as most of them had become microwave ovens already, and in this time of Uber, Taxi of the Tomorrow, downsizing et al, there's no place for these long lasting dinosaurs, and together with the Checker Marathon and Chevy Caprice, they are now an iconic piece of history of the 'old' New York. I'll miss them. A lot... |
