Description

Catch Report - 31/07/11 - Farmland/Back Garden - Hertfordshire Well where has July gone? we are now officially in to August and the year has just flown by. The Mothing has had a rocky last few weeks from what i've heard from other people, including several trips where no more than 3 Moths were trapped in a couple of hours! the night time temperatures have been dire, regularly dipping to 10c here, and even further down to 6c nearer the coast. On the plus side for me i've been doing rather well! although I won't shout too far about it!

The best species of the night were two examples of the uncommon Square-spotted Clay which initially I thought were Purple Clay, having never seen either of these species.
