English: This is a classic anatomical model of a woman handmade by craftsmen in Cologne, Germany. It was first exhibited at the Cleveland Health Education Museum in 1950, where she was given the voice of a museum staffer in 1951. Each body part lit up when introduced by the voiceover. The National Taiwan Science Education Center acquired Mary in 1978. In 2023, she was refurbished and qiven a new voice to breathe new life and purpose into this classic model. Mary is now ready to display the human anatomy and help our visitors uncover the mysteries of the human body. |
