| Description |
中文（臺灣）：此圖為日治時期昭和紀念館門口的景象。當時，花蓮港公會堂逐漸因為花蓮港人口的劇增，在公會堂旁邊建設新的集會場所──昭和紀念館，於1929年（昭和4年）2月正式落成。此建築除了提供集會、小聚的功能，它的空間比花蓮港公會堂更大，能提供遠程的旅人短暫住宿幾晚。在建築外觀上，昭和紀念館也與花蓮港公會堂有所不同，為長方柱與八角柱的空間設計。此外，其兩棟建築物相距不遠，中間以迴廊相連接，此照片的右半部可以看到一道迴廊，順著走下去，便會抵達一旁的花蓮港公會堂。此影像收錄於2016年（民國105年）由花蓮文史工作者葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局出版的《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，書中收錄了大量花蓮在地的歷史影像，如老照片、繪葉書、宣傳摺頁、郵戳樣式等，是深入花蓮文史的重要書籍。 |
