日本語: 愛知県田原市伊川津町の国指定天然記念物「椛のシデコブシ自生地」。
シデコブシは日本固有のモクレン科小高木で、愛知県と岐阜県東濃地方にのみ自生し、「椛のシデコブシ自生地」はその南限とされる。 樹高は2～5m。互生する葉をもちコブシ類の中では小形で長さ5～8㎝。花は葉の芽吹きに先駆けて開花し、白または薄紅色である。花径10㎝弱、花弁は長さ4㎝の被片12～18枚で成る。 |
