喇嘛

喇嘛教は仏教の一派、元の世祖が吐蕃懐柔の必要から之を尊信したことは有名な話である、明代に宗喀巴宗教改革を唱へて新に黄教を起し、達頼、班禅之を継いで蒙古及伊犁に弘めた、清朝も亦政策上太祖以来尊信した、北京の喇嘛廟は雍正帝がその邸を喜捨せられたものである、図は廟前に立てる喇嘛、服は大典、朝賀又は活仏進見の際にのみ用ふる大礼服だといふ。
