Summary[edit]
DescriptionСоюз.jpg |
English: Soyuz is the first manned spacecraft, which became the ancestor of a whole family of Soviet, and then Russian spacecraft. It was launched in April 1967 under the control of cosmonaut engineer Colonel V.M. Komarov.
Due to the failure of the parachute system, the first launch ended tragically and the ship crashed, the cosmonaut could not survive, nevertheless, it was decided to develop the Soyuz spacecraft. And already in 1968 there was a repeated, already successful, launch of the ship. Although today there are about 6 different major modifications, the general structure remains The ships of this family consist of three compartments: the instrument-aggregate compartment (PAO), the descent vehicle (SA), the household compartment (BO). Instrument and assembly compartment: -Compartment length 2.26 m, -Main diameter of 2.15 m, -Propulsion system of 24 mooring and orientation engines (DPO) (12 in each collector). Half of the engines have a thrust of 13.3 kgf, the other — 2.7 kgf. The approach-correction engine (SKD) with a thrust of 300 kgf. SKD is designed for orbital maneuvering and de-orbiting. Diazote tetraoxide and asymmetric dimethylhydrazine (NDMG) are used as fuel The power supply system consists of solar panels and batteries with an average power of 500 watts (Up to Soyuz 11). Modern about 1 kW. In the descent vehicle are: -places for astronauts (crew of 3 people), - life support and control systems - parachute system. -Compartment weight 2.8 t, -length 2.16 m, -diameter 2.2 m, - free volume — 2.5 m Household compartment: -docking station -convergence systems -a number of life support systems (toilet) -volume with a payload of up to 100 kg The development of the space program in Russia is closely connected with the Soyuz series ships, at the moment they are performing tasks of delivering cargo and astronauts to the ISS.
