Недалеко от с. Самосделка Камызякского района находится уникальный археологический объект − Самосдельское городище, культурные слои которого содержат остатки сразу трех городов, последовательно сменявших друг друга: хазарского (IX–X века), предмонгольского времени (XI–XII века) и золотоордынского (XIII–XIV века). Есть мнение, что культурные слои Самосдельского городища, датируемые IX−X веками, это не что иное, как остатки древнего города Итиль − столицы Хазарского каганата.English: Students digging in history and archeology dig in Samosdelsky settlement.
