Построен Муромским заводом им. Ф.Э. Дзержинского в 1953 г. Паровозы 9П предназначались в основном для работы на подъездных путях промышленных предприятий. Использовались также в локомотивных депо, т.к. благодаря небольшой длине хорошо подходили для работы на поворотном круге. Строились в 1936-1957 гг. Поступил в музей из локомотивного депо Дно.
