Summary[edit]
English: The property of salt, which consists in the desire to absorb a large amount of moisture, is called hygroscopicity. When adding table salt to watercolor paints mixed with water, a white spot will appear over time - the result of moisture absorption by salt. With prolonged interaction: the crystallization process is observed. English: This image shows the crystallization process that has arisen due to the hygroscopicity of table salt. |
