Description

Από τις 19 έως τις 28 Σεπτεμβρίου 2012, ο Υπουργός Εξωτερικών Δημήτρης Αβραμόπουλος θα βρίσκεται στις ΗΠΑ προκειμένου να συμμετάσχει στις εργασίες της 67ης Γενικής Συνέλευσης των Ηνωμένων Εθνών και να πραγματοποιήσει σειρά επαφών στο Σικάγο (19-20), τη Βοστώνη (20-22) και τη Νέα Υόρκη (23-28).

Την Κυριακή 23 του μηνός, ο κ. Υπουργός συναντήθηκε με τον Γενικό Γραμματέα των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, Ban Ki-moon, με τον οποίο είχε την ευκαιρία να συζητήσει το Κυπριακό, το ζήτημα της ονομασίας της Πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβικής Δημοκρατίας της Μακεδονίας και άλλα θέματα περιφερειακού και διεθνούς ενδιαφέροντος.

Την ίδια ημέρα, ο κ. Αβραμόπουλος συναντήθηκε με τον Προσωπικό Απεσταλμένο του Γενικού Γραμματέα, Matthew Nimetz, σχετικά με τη διαδικασία διαπραγματεύσεων για το ζήτημα της ονομασίας της Πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβικής Δημοκρατίας της Μακεδονίας.
