Ελληνικά: Ο Γιώργος άρχισε την ποδηλατική του καρίερα στην Γαλλική ομάδα Nantes Doulon Velo Sport το 2016, έπειτα μετά από το χρυσό μετάλλιο στο Ευρωπαικό Πρωτάθλημα Εφήβων στην πίστα στο αγώνισμα του ατομικού πουρσουίτ επιλέχθηκε από την Παγκόσμια ομοσπονδία για να εκπροσωπήσει την ομάδα της. Έπειτα το 2017 αγωνίστηκε στην Βέλγικη Home Solution και έπειτα από μία σειρά επιτυχιών όλα αυτά τα χρόνια κέντρισε το ενδιαφέρον της επαγγελματικής Seg Racing Academy όπου αποτελεί το μεγαλύτερο φυτώριο αθλητών όπου και υπέγραψε για το 2018 και το 2019.
Στα μέσα του 2019 εκπροσωπόντας την επαγγελματική SEG ο Σταυρακάκης Γιώργος τραυματίστηκε σοβαρά το 2019 σε έναν αγώνα στο Βέλγιο όπου υπέστη πολλάπά κατάγματα και σοβαρό πρόβλημα στο πόδι. Μετά το πέρας του 2019 με μέτρια αποτελέσματα αναγκάστηκε με εισήγηση ιατρού να εγκαταλείψει την ποδηλασία λόγω προβλήματος στο πόδι και να περάσει από πολύ χρονοβόρα διαδικασία αποκατάστασης 1,5 έτους συνοδευόμενη από χειρουργική επέμβαση για την πλήρη αποκατάσταση του κάτω άκρου. |
