Trondheim 1908, forretningsmann Drammen 1910, prakt. sakfører Tr.heim 1912, borgermester i Tr.heim 1920-34, overtok best. av Angellske Stiftelsers skoger, eiendommer og legater 1934. Medl. av Tr.heims bystyre og formannskap 1935-45, form. for Folkemuseet for Tr.heim og Trøndelagen, styremedl. Det Nordenfj.
