DENIS on BERNARD artworks in 1943 : « Adresse du pinceau. Il avait, dès ses débuts, le sens de la composition et il a toujours su bien remplir sa surface. Son dessin est resté ce qu’il était, décoratif, inventé, stylisé. Il a changé de manière, mais il a toujours été un maniériste. »
