English: Portrait of Élisabeth Charlotte d'Orléans (1676-1744), Duchess of Lorraine.
Italiano: "Ritratto di Elisabetta Carlotta duchessa di Lorena.
Un'annotazione nell'inventario del 1879 indicherebbe la Villa della Regina come provenienza del dipinto, registrato come ritratto di una duchessa del Chiablese. C. Bertana e G. Cambursano (1985) identificano invece il personaggio con Elisabetta Carlotta duchessa di Lorena, sorella di Elisabetta Teresa terza moglie di Carlo Emanuele III e lo attribuiscono a scuola francese della prima metà del sec. XVIII. La duchessa, qui con velo vedovile, è raffigurata in età giovanile nell'ovale appeso nella Camera ultima dell'Appartamento di Madama Felicita (cfr. scheda n. 00201035). Va considerato tuttavia che potrebbe trattarsi invece di Elisabetta Carlotta d'Orléans, che sposò Leopoldo Giuseppe Carlo di Lorena, raffigurata da giovane in un ritratto ovale della Sala da Pranzo (cfr. scheda n. 00201201)."
