| Description |
Français : Entrée du Tunnel Howald (49°34'34.4"N 6°08'47.9"E) situé peu après l'échangeur dit "croix de gaspérich" au sud de la ville et de la principauté de Luxembourg, sur l'autoroute A1 luxembourgeois, qui prolonge en direction de l'Allemagne l'autoroute A6 venant de Bruxelles. Ce tunnel permet de ne pas fragmenter un petit bois. La végétation qui le surplombe joue un rôle de large corridor biologique forestier ainsi non-interrompu par l'autoroute (cette bande densément boisée jouant alors le rôle d'un large écoduc, bien qu'elle soit presque coupée en surface par un lotissement). La photo présente l'entrée de ce tunnel dans le sens Bruxelles-> Luxembourg -> Allemagne ; de l'autre côté le tunnel débouche directement sur un pont suspendu qui enjambe une petite vallée de l'Alzette en surplombant la route de Thionville.
English: Entrance to the Howald Tunnel (49 ° 34'34.4 "N 6 ° 08'47.9" E) located shortly after the "Gasperich Cross" interchange in the south of the city and the Principality of Luxembourg, on the Luxemburgish A1 motorway, which extends the A6 motorway from Brussels to Germany. This tunnel makes it possible not to fragment a small wood (+/- Wildlife overpasses). The overhanging vegetation plays a role in a large forest biological corridor and is thus uninterrupted by the highway. The photo shows the entrance of this tunnel in the direction Brussels-> Luxembourg -> Germany. On the other side this tunnel opens directly onto a suspension bridge that spans a small valley of the Alzette and overlooking the "road to Thionville" |
