English: 'The Twister Twisting', Castle Park walled garden [detail] The centerpiece of the walled garden 1023227 is this water feature, 'The Twister Twisting'. Designed by Hampshire-based artists Charles Normandale and Julie Brooks-Hill. The sculpture was inspired by Northern Ireland's links to the linen industry, North Down's maritime and fishing heritage and a Victorian tongue twister 'A Twister Twisting' that is etched into the coping stone around the piece. The piece is 2.4m in height and 1.8m in diameter, providing striking visual impact in the Garden. It is made of stainless steel and has 360-degree interest. |
