'Nationaal Monument voor de Koopvaardij' ('De Boeg') van de Italiaans-Nederlandse kunstenaar Federico Antonio Carasso (Caragnano 1899 - Amsterdam 1969). "Zij hielden koers. Ter nagedachtenis aan de omgekomen zeevarenden van de Nederlandse koopvaardij gedurende de Tweede wereldoorlog (1939-1945) is dit monumen onthuld op 10 april 1957 door H.K.H. prinses Margriet". Staat ten noorden van de Maas ter hoogte van de Erasmusbrug (de Boompjes). |
