English: The sculpture 'Die Quelle' (Source), clay, by the sculptor and Villa Massimo Prize winner (1930) Emil Rasmus Jensen (1888-1967) shows Goethe, Beethoven and Michelangelo over a reclining female nude. This sculpture was created at the palais Ohlendorff where he worked in his studio as a scholarship holder of the state of Hamburg from 1932-1943. The studio was destroyed in an air raid (Operation Gomorrha). The artist was rescued by his fellow sculptor Martin Irwahn (1898-1981).
Deutsch: Die Tonskulptur 'Die Quelle' des Bildhauers und Villa Massimo-Preisträgers (1930) Emil Rasmus Jensen (1888-1967) zeigt Goethe, Beethoven und Michelangelo über einem liegenden weiblichen Akt. Diese Skulptur entstand in seinem Atelier im Ohlendorff-Haus, wo er von 1932 bis 1943 als Stipendiat des Landes Hamburg arbeitete. Das Atelier wurde bei einem Luftangriff (Operation Gomorrha) zerstört. Der Künstler wurde von seinem Bildhauerkollegen Martin Irwahn (1898-1981) gerettet.
