Description

"Demos has left the building"

De Bunker is de naam van het studentencentrum in Eindhoven. Het gebouw is ontstaan uit een samenwerking van Rijksoverheid, TH Eindhoven, het bedrijfsleven en de 3 studentenverenigingen: Eindhovens Studenten Corps, Eindhovense Studentenvereniging Demos en Algemene Studentenvereniging SSRE. De Bunker zal niet lang meer zijn rol als studentencentrum vervullen, want eind 2015 moeten de verenigingen het gebouw verlaten hebben. Inmiddels heeft een aantal gebruikersgroepen waaronder Demos een nieuw onderkomen in het stadscentrum gevonden.

Het gebouw is in 1967 ontworpen door Architect Huig Maaskant bekend van de Scheveningse Pier en de Euromast.
