Summary[edit]
Description"The Back Field", Errigle - geograph.org.uk - 1046793.jpg |
English: "The Back Field", Errigle Looking west towards Rarogan and Garvaghy; family members would converge on the farm to give a hand with the harvesting during the summer months and I can remember corn being grown here and the mechanised reaper that had a knotter which did not always tie the sheaf properly, the result being that someone would have to make an improvised rope out of twisted corn stalks to bind it together. The chances were that you could gather jaggy thistles too. |
