English: "If the glove fits..." USMC recruiting poster, c. 1987
Text: “If the glove fits... Wear it. But first you have to prove you're Marine material. In short, you have to be able to cut it. To demonstrate you won't come apart at the seams when the going gets tough. Because a title this sacred, this respected, isn't going to be handed to you-you've got to earn it. Then and only then can you wear the title United States Marine.”
