73-year-old Marisa smiles outside a Save the Children mobile health clinic at a church in the Tanauan municipality of Leyte, Philippines. In addition to general medical services and hygiene advice, the mobile health clinic - funded by the UK government - is providing psychosocial support for adults. This includes stress debriefing, talking therapies and relaxation techniques. "When the typhoon hit a huge tidal wave flooded my house and the water carried me outside", says Marisa. "I had to hold onto a piece of wood as I floated through the damaged houses in my village. It was terrible and I was so scared." "I've come to the mobile health clinic for support – I’m looking forward to talking to someone about what happened to me. It will help me a lot because I don’t have anyone to talk to – very many other people in the village have suffered, so we need someone from outside to share our feelings with."
