Congresswoman Jeanette Rankin holds her arms out to the young girl, the suffrage amendment, while two women look on in the background saying "That child needs a woman to look after her." The caption written on the original drawing reads "Come to Mother-When Miss Rankin Came to Congress." The artist wrote the date March 19, 1917 on the original. Dimensions H-15.5 W-15 inches
