  • Site History. House Architecture: Robert Henderson Robertson, built 1892. Landscape: F. L. Olmsted and Co., 1893-1894. Associated Name: Harriet Townsend (Mrs. Thomas H.) Barber. Other: In lectures and consistent with press at the time, Frances Benjamin Johnston credited Claverack as a garden by Frederick Law Olmsted in her slide collection. Today: House, now known as "Keewardin," is restored with a new garden.
  • On slide (handwritten): "B", "Barber, Mrs. T. H., Southampton," and Johnston no. "3720."
