  • Site History. House Architecture: 1842 house renovated by Delano & Aldrich for the International Garden Club, 1914. Landscape: Delano & Aldrich, 1914. Associated Name: Zelia Krumbhaar (Mrs. Charles F.) Hoffman, Jr. Other: The International Garden Club, founded in 1914 by Zelia (Mrs. Charles F.) Hoffman, Jr., leased and renovated the Bartow Mansion as its headquarters. Today: House now the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum with the terrace garden restored.
  • On slide (handwritten): "B," "Bartow, Pelham Bay Park," and Johnston no. "3915." Also, the penciled word "Sample." And, blue penciled X.
  • Photographed when Frances Benjamin Johnston and Mattie Edwards Hewitt worked together.
