Question Is the scope "cell membrane of s. cerevisiae"? If it is... I think that may be too restricted a scope. I would support a scope of "fluorescent dye labeled cell membrane" (taking cell membrane to implicitly mean lipid+proteins) Jon C (talk) 18:43, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Frankly speaking I'm not getting what this "scope" stuff is really about. IMO, this image is the typical representation which falls in the "cell membrane" scope (in general) or S. cerevisiae. In both topics I can image this image as an example. Masur (talk) 14:17, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • The scope defines the set that this image competes against. In most instances, it will be a category or gallery. If a suitable category or gallery does not exist, often reviewers expect the nominator to create and populate it. The scope should be large enough to be useful to other editors. A scope that is too large reduces the likelihood of promotion by including more valuable images or discouraging reviewers. Please see Commons:Valued image scope for more.
