Info - A female Goldenrod Crab Spider (Misumena vatia) capturing a bee (cf. Andrena sp.). Spiders usually inject the poison at the back of the victim's head, where the nerves concentrate. Notice the perfect colour mimicry between the spider and flower.
Comment It is a very impressive picture. The flower, spider and bee must be fully identified and categorized, after what I'd be glad to support it (although the scope is very narrow). Maybe you should nominate it as a QI as well. --Eusebius (talk) 10:19, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I agree, it is too close on the other VI scope. In hindsight the scope of the first VI should probably have been the slightly more general Crab Spider paralysing an insect. -- Slaunger (talk) 20:32, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
