Info Pocket stereoscope from Zeiss, with original test image. Unknown date, but probably from the fifties. This type of instrument was used by military to examine stereoscopic pairs of vertical aerial photographs.

  •  Comment I am unsure about this one. This photo shows the original test sheet but Image:Stereoskop.jpg shows a similar instrument in actual use. --MichaelMaggs 15:12, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Neutral The scope is relevant, the photo illustrates the subject well, especially I think the test sheet adds value. Is it the most valuable illustration of its kind (within the scope)? Yes, I think so. I do not think the image mentioned by Michael is on par with this one. Other competitors are Image:stereoscope hg.jpg, which seems to be a pocket version also. For this one, the manufacturer and date is also known, but it is less valuable because it is stand alone and not showing the stereoscope in a context where it is used. Another competitor is Image:Sterosco.jpg, which also shows a pocket stereoscope with its cage. However, the resolution is really really bad on that one. The only criteria I have a problem with is #4 concerning the image page. Here I miss more exact information about the model and a more exact year. For this reason I vote neutral. If this information is found I would be happy to support. (I am very close at supporting already). -- Slaunger 22:32, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment And a last comment. A perfect illustration of a pocket stereoscope would show it together with stereographic maps in it working environment. So, in any event, there is room for improvement. -- Slaunger 22:36, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support OK, you have convinced me. --MichaelMaggs 16:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
