Comment -- Something appears to be wrong with the location. The satellite image of the site doesn't match the image. Also, I wonder if this particular pit is representative of the scope. Alvesgaspar (talk) 18:27, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I think that is a shadow in the Google Earth image. Looking at [1], the place name matches exactly, and I did cross-reference several coordinate sites to make sure I had the right location. MBisanz talk 14:26, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose The scope is more a description of the picture, I'm not sure that "abandoned open-pit mines in South Africa" are remarkable enough to be distinguished from any other abandoned open-pit mines in the world, unless there is some particular fact about them that I ignore. There is an article about this particular hole, maybe "Big Hole" could be a better scope, what do you think? --Eusebius (talk) 09:16, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scope changed from Abandoned open-pit mines in South Africa to The Big Hole mine --MBisanz talk 14:26, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
