The version you are referring to is an Icon formerly attributed to Andrej Rublëv (1408). In fact there is in the gallery another large Deisis extremely similar to that of Rublev File:Hall N59 (icons) Tretyakov gallery - Rublev 01 by shakko.jpg. The characters are almost identical and the central Christ sits enthroned on the same succession of shapes and colors. Dionysius and Rublev having worked together on several major projects, we must see in the two Déisis two variations on the same theme. I have attached in the other versions File:Moscou, galerie Tretiakov Icons by Dyonisius et ses fils, Déisis (détail - Saint Jean Baptiste, l'Apôtre Paul, Saint Demetrius).jpg. The carateristic is that Saint Michael does not find his usual counterpart here, instead there is Demetrius of Thessaloniki, the origin of the first name Dimitri so common in Russia. I think I have resolved the contradiction between "Vasilyevskiy chin" and "Anonymous Russian icon painter (before 1917). In fact the painter is Dionisius (Russian: Диони́сий, variously transliterated as Dionisy or Dionysiy; also Dionisius the Wise; c. 1440 – 1502) was acknowledged as a head of the Moscow school of icon painters at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries.
