Comment The scope is too broad, it must focus on the game is shown. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:58, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment Narrowed down scope to region and genre. Choosing a specific "game" as scope is not feasible, IMHO, as LARP is not structured by "games" in Germany and the photo was staged out-of-game. Nonetheless I think it is useful to illustrate the concept of LARP. --RalfHuels (talk) 11:12, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment This image is typical of a game it can only be promoted in this context. If you want to open the concept RPGs in general, the question will arise: why this game and not another. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 14:19, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment I don't understand your definition of "a game". This image is typical of live action role playing in the fantasy genre as practiced in germany. Not a specific event, not a specific series of events, not any one rule system. This group could pretty much show up on most fantasy live action role playing conventions in Germany. Which is not quite the same as "RPGs in general" by a long shot. --RalfHuels (talk) 17:46, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment Someone (no acquaintance of mine) added this image to en:Live action role-playing game a few hours ago, captioned "Fantasy LARP". Just saying ;-) --RalfHuels (talk) 18:58, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment I have been pondering the question of scope some more:
    • I have re-read the rules on scope several times and do not think that limiting the scope of a LARP VI to a single german LARP event (assuming that that is, what Archaeodontosaurus defines as "a game") would be "realistically useful". While several images in Category:Live action role-playing in Germany can be linked to a specific event, there are few events with more than one good image. This makes VI nominations relatively pointless.
    • There is no article in german WP on any single LARP event (assuming that that is, what Archaeodontosaurus defines as "a game"). There was one on the leading (by participants) series of events "Conquest of Mythodea", but even that was deleted due to lack of encyclopaedic relevance. So I assume that there is no likelyhood of there being any article on single events in the near future. The scope at this point is narrower than that of the single article on LARP in german WP (due to the limitation to a specific genre).
    • As I said, the photo was not taken in-game. I invited several individuals who (and who's characters) each are veterans of numerous games from several different series and rule systems for a photo shoot specifically to produce illustration for Wikimedia. I personally feel they are a reasonably good representation of Fantasy LARP in Germany.
    • Consequently the only way I see to further narrow down the scope would be to set it to "LARP related photos, taken on April 19th 2014 by RalfHuels" which hardly seems useful. If that means, the nomination must be declined, by all means do. --RalfHuels (talk) 11:39, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment "Conquest of Mythodea" seems appropriate to me to be part of the scope. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 12:00, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment The only connection between the "Conquest of Mythodea" and this photo is that some of the models probably (and I definitely) have previously attended one or more events in the CoM series. To use the fruit bowl example from scope, this means that "Strawberries" would be appropriate as a scope for the picture of mouldy nectarines if the photographer has eaten strawberries at some point in his life. --RalfHuels (talk) 12:47, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Indeed it's complicated. I have no idea, and I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 13:41, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • How complicated can it be? There are 23 pictures in Category:Live action role-playing in Germany and two of them are not from the fantasy genre. ;) --RalfHuels (talk) 14:06, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support OK for me. Yann (talk) 03:58, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
