Why not? Jolly Janner (talk) 10:44, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because COM:VISC#Buildings only suggests an "interior" and an "exterior" scope. There must be a very good reason to add another subscope. For St-Peter, I might be ready to accept subscope for very famous features of the building, like a panorama of the colonnades, a very nice shot of the dome or a clean view of the baldachin. I just don't put the facade in the same category. It is a personal opinion about "scope worthiness", though, not an opposition (for now), and other reviewers may have other opinions. --Eusebius (talk) 10:53, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the wikilink. St. Peter's Basilica is an interesting building, as the facade was notablely critisised for shunning the view of the beautiful dome of the basilica. When it comes to the exterior of the building the best all-round photo would probably be one taken from far away and above ground level, so as it to get the famous dome in the photo. That's why I thought it would be better to have two scopes: one fot the exterior in generl (i.e. a photo that gets the whole basilica in) and another scope for the facade, showing just the tip of the dome. Anyway, I shall be interested to hear other users' comments... Jolly Janner (talk) 14:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
