  •  Question Clearly meets criteria 2, 3, and 6. There are other good photos of Category:Kaiseki but this image is IMO slightly better at ilustrating the subject (crit. 1) than the competitors (no distracting elements, good crop, sharpness and lightning in review size). The image page could be improved by describing what the Kaiseki actually consists of in this case. What types of food? In principle the image could be geocoded (crit. 5), as it refers to breakfast served at a particular place. However it is somewhat studiolike and non-place related (assuming a quite similar meal could be served elsewhere), so I will not require that. So, I am inclined to support it if more details were added on the image page. However, I would like to ask one question before I cast a vote: Was this taken inside a hotel? If yes are you then allowed to publish it here in the first place? Can it be considered a work of art? I am not too strong on licencing issues, just wondering... -- Slaunger (talk) 22:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I have improved the description by adding a link to the enW page. That should be explanation enough, I think: describing what is meant by the term Kaiseki would mean repeating the encylopedic content in the description. As to exactly what each dish consists of, I don't know. Geocoding isn't appropriate, as this could be served anywhere, not just at this particular hotel. The photo was indeed taken in a hotel, but that does not affect the copyright status. Food designed to be eaten is not a work of art in its own right, and I'm confident the licence is OK. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:02, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
