Bell tower of the Clérigos Church ("Church of the Clergymen"), one of the landmarks of the city of Porto, Portugal. The Baroque church was built for the Brotherhood of the Clérigos (Clergy) by Nicolau Nasoni between 1732 and approx. 1750. The tower itself was built between 1754 and 1763 and has a height of 75,6 meters, dominating the city.

  •  Oppose There's quite a bit of perspective distortion at 24mm focal length. The top of the tower looks like it is bent to the right. Having all the street signs and the bus station in front of the tower, it seems quite challenging to take a shot from further away, eventually allowing you to reduce perspective distortion. Defintely worth a retry with a different lense and camera position. Regards, Christoph Braun (talk) 12:46, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Christoph: Yes, that is the point, getting further doesn't always help because you introduce new undesired elements in the composition but distortions are lower. What do you think about this version? is it FP-worthy? Poco2 13:01, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Without your local fire department's turntable ladder there's not much you can do. Altitude is key. Given the circumstances on location I think it's acceptable to have some of the signs and cables in the final shot. The image you linked is better in terms of perspective distortion. A central perspective like here could help to avoid some of the signs. Regards, Christoph Braun (talk) 13:36, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
